Downtown Snohomish's Santa Moves Shops Every Weekend. You Can Scout the Route on November 6.

October 22, 2026

On Sunday, December 6, Santa will be at The Raven and the Swan on Glen Avenue. The next Saturday he's at Anna Marie Collective on First Street, and the day after that he's at Snoqualmie Ice Cream. The Historic Downtown Snohomish Association has set up this year's Santa in the Shops as a rotation. Each weekend day from November 29 through December 20 has its own host business.

That changes how the whole season is laid out. Most of the stops on Santa's route are shops you can walk through weeks earlier, on the first weekend of November. The rest of the season, from the tree lighting to Winterfest, either feeds into that route or runs alongside it.

The Season Starts at the Corner Where the Market Ends

The Snohomish Farmers Market finishes its 2026 season on Thursday, October 29, at the corner of Cedar and Pearl. Its navigation address is 105 Cedar Avenue, and its regular hours are 3 to 7 p.m., though the market notes that October hours may be shorter.

105 Cedar Avenue is also the address of the Snohomish Carnegie Building. That same corner hosts the tree lighting, Santa in Flight, the Youth Art Show and Winterfest's Holiday Wine Walk check-in over the next seven weeks. The market's last Thursday leaves the corner empty for about five weeks before the holiday events take it over.

November 6 and 7 Are the Real Opening Weekend

The first event on the downtown holiday calendar is the Holiday Open House: Friday, November 6, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, November 7, from noon to 8 p.m. HDSA describes it as window displays, extended shopping hours, treats and drinks, and live music and entertainment around town.

The participating list is where the season's route first shows up. These are the stops HDSA has posted:

  • Anna Marie Creative Collective
  • Arts of Snohomish Gallery
  • Edit an Olive & Bloom Company
  • Humidity Cigars & Tobacco
  • Le Menagerie
  • Maple + Moss Boutique
  • Mimi's a shabby chic country boutique
  • My Eclectic Home
  • Peaches
  • Snohomish General Store
  • Snoqualmie Ice Cream
  • Sprig Beauty Co
  • Studio DG
  • The Cinamon Stik
  • The Petal And The Stem
  • The Raven and the Swan Vintage Mercantile
  • WORTHY
  • Rhapsody Interiors
  • Joyworks
  • Strikke Yarn & Supply
  • Annie's on First
  • Lamb and Co Storefront
  • MARIE
  • Little Shop of Light
  • Snohomish Pie Company
  • Eternal Endings Romance Bookstore

Compare it with the Santa in the Shops schedule. Snohomish General Store, The Raven and the Swan, Anna Marie, Snoqualmie Ice Cream, Sprig Beauty Co. and Peaches are all on both lists. Santa visits seven shops this year, and six of them are open house stops. The only exception is the first one. If you have young children and want to know which doors you'll be walking through in December, the November 6 and 7 open house is a good time to find them.

November 28 Is the One Day Santa Stays Put

Saturday, November 28, is the free tree lighting, organized by HDSA and the City of Snohomish. Santa arrives at the Carnegie at 3 p.m. for photos inside the building. A live-music Christmas countdown and singalong begins on Carnegie Plaza at 4:45 p.m., and the tree lights at 5.

The next day, the rotation begins.

The Route, Weekend by Weekend

Santa in the Shops runs noon to 3 p.m. on each listed day. HDSA calls it free, asks families to bring their own camera, and notes that every location is ADA accessible.

Date Host Address
Sunday, Nov. 29 Spada Farmhouse Brewery 709 1st St
Saturday, Dec. 5 Snohomish General Store 922 1st St
Sunday, Dec. 6 The Raven and the Swan 119 Glen Ave
Saturday, Dec. 12 Anna Marie Collective 916 1st St
Sunday, Dec. 13 Snoqualmie Ice Cream 923 1st St
Saturday, Dec. 19 Sprig Beauty Co. 1204 1st St
Sunday, Dec. 20 Peaches 1024 1st St, Suite 104

Two details stand out. The December 6 stop is the only one off First Street, at The Raven and the Swan on Glen Avenue. And the two stops on December 12 and 13 fall during Winterfest, when the route has the most competition for a family's afternoon.

Winterfest Fills the Weekend Around Two Route Stops

HDSA's Winterfest runs December 11 through 13. HDSA calls it one part of a wider "Downtown for the Holidays" season. The posted schedule has something on all three days:

Friday, December 11

  • 2 to 3 p.m.: Gingerbread House Party with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Top It Yogurt Shoppe
  • 5 to 9 p.m.: Santapalooza, a holiday-themed pub crawl and costume contest

Saturday, December 12

  • 10 a.m. to noon: Breakfast with Santa at Feather Ballroom
  • Noon to 6 p.m.: Santa in Flight, a family Santa photo experience at the Snohomish Carnegie Building
  • Noon to 3 p.m.: Fire & Ice at Andy's Fish House, with a live ice sculpting contest and fire pits with s'mores
  • 12:30 to 1:30 and 2 to 3 p.m.: Gingerbread House Parties at Top It Yogurt Shoppe
  • 4 to 8 p.m.: Holiday Wine Walk, checking in at the Snohomish Carnegie Building

On that Saturday, Anna Marie Collective at 916 First Street hosts Santa from noon to 3. Those hours line up exactly with Fire & Ice at Andy's Fish House and overlap with both gingerbread sessions. A family that wants the ice sculpting and the shop visit should plan on splitting the afternoon.

HDSA says ticket prices, additional details and registration links for Winterfest will be added as they become available, and the schedule is subject to change. Check that page again before setting a budget for the wine walk or Santa in Flight.

Sunday, December 13 Is the Busiest Day of the Season

The last day of Winterfest has the most on it. Here it is in order:

  1. 8 a.m.: Check-in and festivities open for the Snohomish Reindeer Games at Averill Field, 400 2nd Street, next to the Snohomish Boys & Girls Club.
  2. 9 a.m.: 5K runners start, followed by joggers and walkers at 9:15. The course is a mostly flat, out-and-back route on the Centennial Trail.
  3. 10 a.m. to noon: Breakfast with Santa at Feather Ballroom.
  4. 10:30 a.m.: The Kids Dash, for elementary age and younger, runs around Averill Field.
  5. Noon to 3 p.m.: Santa in the Shops at Snoqualmie Ice Cream, 923 1st St.
  6. Noon to 4 p.m.: The Parlour Tour, the Snohomish Historical Society's self-guided tour of historic homes and churches decorated for the holidays.
  7. 1 to 5 p.m.: Youth Art Show at the Snohomish Carnegie Building.
  8. 2 to 3 p.m.: Gingerbread House Party at Top It Yogurt Shoppe.

HDSA also lists Santa Photos with Pets on the Sunday schedule, with the time and location still to be announced.

The Reindeer Games is a fundraiser: the race page says all proceeds go to students at Central Emerson Elementary, and it is produced by the Central Emerson PTA with the Historic Snohomish Downtown Association. The race page lists the 5K at $45 and the Kids Dash at $15. 5K finishers get a T-shirt and medal, and Kids Dash participants get a T-shirt and a participation ribbon. Leashed, well-mannered dogs are welcome on the 5K, and so are strollers. Day-of registration is limited to supplies on hand, and the event has a no-refund policy. The City of Snohomish calendar lists the race as "PENDING PERMIT" for December 13 on the Centennial Trail, and the organizer contact is [email protected].

The Parlour Tour checks visitors in at Zion Lutheran Church, 329 Avenue A, from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. On the Historical Society's 2026 Parlour Tour ticket page, early general admission is $30 through December 12 and event-day admission is $35, and each ticket includes a wristband for the full tour. The Historical Society says ticket sales support the Blackman House Museum and the archives, photographs and artifacts it maintains.

Put together, that Sunday could start with a morning 5K on the Centennial Trail, move to a parlour in a decorated historic house around noon, and finish with a Santa photo at Snoqualmie Ice Cream before 3. Every one of those stops is downtown, but they don't all fit into the same hour. Check-in for the Parlour Tour closes at 2, an hour before Santa leaves Snoqualmie Ice Cream. If you want both, go to Zion Lutheran first.

The Last Weekend Belongs to Two Shops

After Winterfest, the route has two more stops: Sprig Beauty Co. at 1204 1st St on Saturday, December 19, and Peaches at 1024 1st St, Suite 104, on Sunday, December 20. Both were on the November open house list. No other downtown events are posted for that weekend, so those two afternoons are the quietest chance on the calendar for a Santa visit.

Holiday open houses aren't only for shoppers.
